How we got here
A short journey through the moments that shaped LCM Calc into the tool it is today.
A classroom problem
LCM Calc started as a small side project to help students who struggled with the "cross-check" step of finding least common multiples. The first version was 200 lines of plain JavaScript — no framework, no polish, just a working algorithm.
From integer to everything
We added support for fractions and decimals, then extended the number range to 10²⁴ using BigInt and Pollard's rho factorization. What began as a simple classroom aid became a serious mathematical tool.
Breaking language barriers
We translated the entire interface into 19 languages, including full right-to-left support for Arabic and Urdu. Math has no borders, so neither should its tools.
Private by design
Everything runs locally in your browser. No accounts, no tracking, no data sent to any server. LCM Calc is built on the belief that learning tools should respect the people who use them.
